Dolphins 2024 Scholarship EOI Now Open

Thanks to the generosity of our Sponsors for our 30th season, the Riverstone Dolphins Committee is pleased to launch the Riverstone Dolphins 2024 Scholarship.

The Dolphins 2024 Scholarship is designed to deliver development of competitive race experience for selected current Riverstone Dolphins Club Swimmers.

The scholarship will provide a financial subsidy for the cost of registration as a Full Swimmer with Swimming NSW.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) in the Dolphins 2024 Scholarship are now open, with the EOI closing Thursday 31 October 2024. 

Interested participants are required to meet the outlined criteria to demonstrate the individual’s commitment to representation of the Riverstone Dolphins RSL Youth Swimming Club, and competitive event participation.

It is anticipated up to fifteen (15) selected swimmers will receive the Dolphins Scholarship. The Committee reserves the right to increase or reduce this number based on applications received.

The Dolphins 2024 Scholarship Selection Criteria is outlined below. Please do your best to address these points in your EOI;

  • Current financial members of the Club are only eligible to apply.
  • Swimmers applying for the Riverstone Dolphins 2024 Scholarship must compete at least three (3) external meets over the 2024/2025 season, including the Swim West Meet at Richmond on 1 December 2024.
  • Applicants must purchase a full swimmer membership via Swim Central ensuring Riverstone Dolphins is listed as the swimmers first claim club and successful Scholarship recipients will be reimbursed by Riverstone Dolphins Swimming Club.
  • Applicant swimmers must be across the number of representative opportunities that are available through the Swim Central calendar of events and notify the Committee of the selected meets ahead of time for circulation with the Club for awareness.
  • Successful applicants must agree to be involved in promotional activities associated with representation at external swimming events, this includes use of photography and videography to promote 
  • Families supporting swimmers at external meets must understand and commit to the requirements of each meet, including time keeping requirements etc as outlined in meet specifications.
